I am a sophomore at the George Washington University. I have been working in childcare since I was 14, including working as an assistant teacher at the Friendship Heights Children's Center and an assistant counselor at the JCC of Manhattan Summer Camp, both in 2008. I am a double history and political science major. Until University, I lived in New York City. I attended Little Red School House Elizabeth Irwin High School until 8th Grade and Stuyvesant High School until 12th.
In addition to my childcare positions, I've worked in theatre from a young age. I've worked at Telsey + Co. Casting, a premiere casting agency in New York City, and Fox Theatricals, a producing company, also based in New York.
As a teacher, I think it's very important to listen to the student's individual needs. Everybody learns differently, there is no "one size fits all" solution for all students. I think it's my ability to tailor my teachings to the students needs that makes me such a good teacher.
Though I've never tutored on an official level, I have helped many of my peers review for final exams and other tests, especially in Logic and History.
