My name is Seth P., I live in Fircrest, Washington, and I am 23 years old. I recently received a B.A. degree in history from a liberal arts college in Santa Clarita, California called The Master's College, and I am currently taking graduate level classes at Western Reformed Seminary in downtown Tacoma.
I am experienced in both one-on-one as well as group teaching settings. I currently have five regular students, and I mentor a group of middle-schoolers at my church. I am adept at teaching a wide range of subjects, including history, math, and writing.
Essentially, when I teach, my main goal is to foster a love of learning in the student. While particular, concrete instruction is valuable, I do not want to just tell the student a set of facts about a subject. Rather, I want their comprehensive understanding and interest to be increased no matter what the subject may be. By receiving a balance of specific instruction and general development of reasoning and learning skills, the student will take away knowledge that will he/she will remember long after our time together is done.
Thank you in advance for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.
