  • ESL/ESOL

My academic and professional careers have prepared me well to tutor ESL/ ESOL. In December of last year (2008) I earned a masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages with a 3.97 Grade Point Average. The program included courses on second language acquisition theory, teaching methods and linguistics. My work experience includes a year of teaching ESL to adults at a community college. During this time I worked with course levels ranging from high-beginning to high-advanced, and enjoyed working with all my students. I have taught students reading, writing, listening and speaking skills for general or specific linguistic goals.
