Hello! I graduated from SMU Magna Cum Laude with degrees in English Literature and Dance Performance. I have tutoring experience with students ages 4 through 18. I have been trained and have worked for Score! I particularly love to help young children learn how to read and to work with elementary, middle, and high school students to read critically and write precisely. Each student is an individual and I work with the student and parents to identify the student's best learning method. I find kinesthetic learners are often overlooked and have a passion for unlocking a student's way of learning. Additionally, I've found that educators sometimes assume boys will be weaker in reading and writing than girls. The boys often take on this label, and I have a passion for encouraging and cultivating those skills in those who have often been labeled "weak" in these subjects. My goal is to equip students with the life-long skill of understanding his/her learning style and how to acquire information and make it knowledge.
