I am a creative tutor who has experience teaching in a variety of learning environments. I've taught children and adults ages 2-40+, in subjects ranging from basic academic skills to fine art to computer literacy.

I have experience teaching beginning sewing classes to children ages 5-10. In addition, I have taken several courses and completed projects using varying techniques. I can teach you to: - basic skills such as selecting thread, needles and fabric suitable for your project - hand sewing, machine sewing, and how to choose which method to use - use of rotary cutter and mat - use of plastic and paper patterns - use a pattern to create an article of clothing - modify a pattern so that the finished garment has a better fit - create a clothing pattern using a piece of clothing - design and create a quilt top utilizing both patchwork and applique - both machine and hand quilt - design and create dolls from start to finish, with or without a pattern. From rag dolls to dolls created in the Waldorf style to stylized dolls designed for show - needle sculpture, a technique most commonly used to give character to doll's faces - design and create teddy bears, toy alligators, and other animals of your choosing - create a new pillowcase complete with made from scratch cording, fit for new chair cushions, couch cushions, or throw pillows Please contact me with your request, and I will tell you how i can help you develop the skills to accomplish your goal.
