Here is an explanation of how I teach: I like to make sure that you, my students, feel comfortable and motivated. While keeping you on task, I like to make sure your learning environment is lively and entertaining. I have a Bachelor of Arts in French. It is also my first language. I speak Spanish fluently, having studied it in high school and in college. I am a very patient tutor, and can work with all ages.

• ESL/ESOL

  I have had experience teaching English to speakers of other languages. I have taught using the total immersion method, which is an effective system, and yet does not allow the use of any other language besides the language being taught. Another method I have used is the Side by Side language books. Also, there are students who like to be able to sometimes refer to their native language during lessons. It helps them in the learning process. I am fluent in French, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and can communicate in Portuguese. I am very patient and enjoy teaching English to my students. Sometimes I incorporate their interests into our lessons, depending upon what they are looking for. It's always important that the student feels motivated and encouraged by his/her progress, which the student can see, with regular quizzes. I like to keep the learning environment fun and cheerful. It's important to me that my students feel at ease and that they look forward to their lessons. I think in this way they learn more.
