About Gabrielle

Hello/hola/bonjour mes amis, my name is Gabrielle. Most of my friends and colleagues call me Bri so that will be just fine. I am currently a junior at Virginia Commonwealth University where I am majoring in foreign languages. I would also like to mention that I travel between Washington DC and Richmond. To date, I have been studying French and Spanish since my early school years therefore I feel very confident in my proficiency with the languages. I am also taking Arabic if that's of interest to anyone. With a focus in foreign languages, I can honestly say that my goal in life is to help in connecting cultural barriers throughout the community. I feel that one of the greatest gifts is to be able to share my knowledge with others. Moreover sharing similar interests motivates me to encourage students to reach their full potential even further. And it’s equally as important to make learning fun! That’s one of my key methods in effective tutoring. Furthermore, I am very flexible as it pertains to my teaching different students to compensate their different learning styles. So hopefully in reading this brief description, I provide a little insight on the knowledge that I have to offer and how eager I am to work with future students! Muchas gracias. A tout l'heure! -Bri

More On Gabrielle's Subjects

  • elementary (k-6th)

I have enjoyed working with kids my entire life; whether it is volunteering with a summer camp or after school mentoring, kids are one of my biggest priorities. I feel that it is vital to encourage their study skills and creativity at a young age to better prepare them for further endeavors. In elementary school, I was an outstanding student, which has helped me with my studies thus far in my academic career. I am proficient in several areas of study including elementary English, math, history, art, Spanish and French. Therefore, I am thrilled to challenge young students with interesting lesson plans to keep them a step ahead in the classroom!

Student Feedback

  • Great job!

Gabrielle has been prompt and thorough. Our daughter has found her assistance has been quite helpful in the classroom. She is more positive about taking her final exam. She speaks in French and encourages her to speak more often, something she has not had in the classroom. Overall, a very positive experience.
