I am a landscape architect by profession with a previous career in the animal sciences. I have two degrees: a BS in animal science - equine management and reproduction, and a BSLA, Bachelor of science in landscape architecture, a professional degree with licensure. I am a designer, writer and presenter with a broad scientific, literate and practical background.
I have extensive experience in the workplace in training individuals in the basic fundamentals of design, drawing production, writing and speech. I also teach more advanced applications of earth science (processing geographic/topographic information and performing site analysis, report writing, research and interpretation of various data and information, organization of processes and information and presentation skills associated with the development of architectural, engineering and site project components.
My teaching style is especially suited to one-on-one teaching, giving the student basic information to absorb and then guiding him/her through various applications. Patient response to questions and respect for effort given are hallmarks of my ability to allow students to complete tasks while experiencing a sense of achievement that is important to continued learning success.
