I have been a classroom teacher (15+ years) and a computer trainer (10+ years.) I have Florida and New York certification in mathematics. I also have a Florida integrated curriculum certification (math, science, English and social studies.)

I have certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in PhotoShop and InDesign. I have also worked in publishing and as a professional photographer. I have authored several publications, including an instruction manual for PowerPoint, and a book about the Fifties. I created, and delivered, a course in digital photography.

My teaching style is informal and interactive. I like to lead students to discovery so they can re-create the learning experience within themselves. This way, they can rely less on memorization, and have an approach to new problems when they come up. I believe that learning is fun.

As a math teacher, I created the first classroom computer curriculum when computers were introduced to schools. I trained other teachers in how to integrate computers into their subject areas. I have taught computers to every grade. Apple Computer taped my classes for inclusion in a video disc that was a resource for teacher using computers in subject areas. As a computer trainer, I am certified in Microsoft Office and several Adobe applications. I have delivered courses for CompUSA, New Horizons, The Training Associates, PPI and ExecuTrain. I have taught for Federal and local government agencies, hospitals, and major corporations. I taught general computer and programming at DeVry University in Phoenix. I wrote courseware for PowerPoint for ActiveEducation in Lakewood, CO, and a proprietary course in Digital Photography. Currently I am delivering instruction to Broward County employees in Office 2007 and other applications. I take great satisfaction in aiding people to do their jobs in the most efficient ways.
