I have been teaching Spanish for four years now. My first year of teaching was at a small high school in Illinois. Next I taught at Purdue University for two years while I was getting my master's degree in Spanish. Now I teach at a high school in Indiana. I love teaching because I love the opportunity to impart knowledge on young people. I love working with any age group and am a certified K-12 Spanish Teacher in Illinois and Indiana.

I think the most important thing about tutoring is first getting to know the student and learning what he or she and his or her parents are looking for in the tutoring sessions. After that I think it is important to get to know the student's learning styles. Once learning these things it is time to get started learning or reviewing or studying anything the student needs to study.

I have taught at the undergraduate college level Spanish 2, high school Spanish 2, 3, and 4, and I have also taught an ESL seminar in Bolivia. I have also done considerable volunteer work with children in Guatemala and Bolivia as well as through my churches in the United States.

I am fluent in Spanish. I studied in Costa Rica the summer of 2003, volunteered in Guatemala the summer of 2004 and Bolivia the summer of 2008.
