A little bit about me....I studied Spanish and Latin American Studies at American University in Washington, DC. During my time there, I tutored adults who wanted to learn to speak English and had several interships in the Latin community.
Since I graduated college, my professional line of work has been in marketing and sales. I was actually chosen among several other candidates for my first job out of college for my ability to speak fluent Spanish, which led me to my career in marketing.
After several years in corporate America I taught middle school general Spanish for one year. I really enjoyed the teaching experience, but wanted to teach students who really wanted to learn, understand and make strides.
Corporate America pulled me back into a marketing position, where I began to explore my photographic interests further. I was taking a lot of portrait and environmental photos in industrial settings and really enjoyed it. So, I decided to purse a formal education in photography with a certificate from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
So, I can help you with Spanish or photography. I am patient and like to let students discover and explore. I consider myself more of coach keeping in the right direction and letting you make your own discoveries.
