I am a certified teacher in the state of Kentucky. I have taught special needs children for three years but am currently taking a break to be home with my children. I have tutored many of my students after school as well as through the Kentucky foster care system and work hard to meet them at their point of need and learning style. I have lots of experience with various reading programs such as Wilson reading and Edmark. During my first year of teaching my focus was working on phonetics with students who were struggling with reading skills. I believe each student is capable of learning and that finding that one strategy that works for them is the key to success.
