Music is my passion. I have been performing on the piano since a child and have won numerous awards and scholarships. I have experience with chamber music, modern works, jazz and improvisation. My background in composing acoustic and electronic music has led to my music being featured for film, dance, and art installations. You can find my pop music on iTunes and me performing around town.
When not consumed by my music activities, I love to get outside and experience nature. I just finished in September '08 a five month hike from the Mexican border to Chinook Pass in Washington via the Pacific Crest Trail and hope to finish the last 300 miles next summer.
My teaching style is laid back, but I am stickler for details. At the piano, I am a proponent of good efficient technique devoid of injury causing habits. At my private studio I tailor lessons to my students' personal goals.
