My name is Kathleen and I very much enjoy speaking, reading, and writing French; it is such a lovely language and culture that I would like to share my knowledge with you!
I recently moved to California from New York State, where I am permanently certified to teach French at all levels in the public school system. I taught both Middle School and high school students for a number of years and have some experience teaching at the college level. My specific teaching assignment varied each year, which means that I have taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced level classes. I was twice tenured in the same school district.
I like to work with people individually and in small groups. In addition to tutoring both adolescents and adults, I have worked for an agency advocating for individuals with disabilities.
I have a Bachelor's Degree from The State University of New York at Albany and a Master's Degree from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh; concentrations include French and education.
In addition to reading, my interests include hiking and knitting. I love cats and trying different foods.
I will do my best to help you be successful, and hopefully we can have some fun along the way.
