Writing is the key to success today. Powerful use of words can earn top grades in school as well as leadership positions in the workplace. I have 25 years experience as both a writer and an instructor. That means I don't just talk the talk--I have the know-how to cut through problems with easy shortcuts to good writing. I can right the wrongs bad teachers have committed. I can diagnose a piece of writing and come up with a sure-fire plan to improve. Also, I have terrific strategies for enriching vocabulary and achieving top scores on tests, including effective coaching for the SAT's. Most important, the student will get special treatment, a personalized plan tailored to individual needs. Students I have tutored have gained confidence because they now have the necessary skills to succeed.
My graduate and undergrad work in Language Arts & Literature were done at UCLA. I have taught college composition, literature, grammar, and humanities for 25 years. My publishing credits range from journalism and criticism to creative fiction and poetry—rarely a month goes by something of mine isn’t in print. Currently my poetry, essays and short fiction can be found in various literary journals and anthologies. I am completing a novel an agent has already shown interest in.
