I understand that not all of you are history students, some of you are more interested in science, business, or music, and that you find history boring and time consuming. It is up to your instructor or tutor to provide that spark of interest, to help facilitate the learning process. To me, history is just a story that wants to be told. There are no formulas to memorize. No theories to interpret. Just a story where the details are important. I am a History graduate student with a concentration in Political Science. I have completed all my coursework in graduate school with a 3.60 GPA. While it is important to me that you excel on your exams (and I am sure that is that most important factor to you!), I want you to learn for life the material and to understand why history is so important each citizen of the United States.
