Hello,
My name is Paul and I recently graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with honors in Musicianship and a Bachelor's in Music with Violin Performance. I hope that I appear to be the right tutor for you. I always have believed that teaching not only helps the one receiving information and instruction, but also the teacher themselves. In forming bonds between student and teacher, we inevitably learn more about ourselves and our individual goals.
I have always enjoyed working with people who are willing and eager to learn (Hah, what is bad about that?) when I've had the chance, and don't mind setting aside some hours per week to pass on knowledge to another in the hopes it can benefit their musical experience.
My teaching style can most accurately be described as "intuitive, coupled with practical work on the part of both the instructor and student." I will look at you, listen to what you have to play (I do not enjoy interrupting people) and give you both my advice and advice that I have learned from others (reading a book or a treatise is always not a bad idea), telling you what I think you should work on for a certain amount of time each time you take up the violin.
There, I hope that wasn't too lengthy!
Thank you very much for reading about me, and I hope to hear from you soon!
Paul Engler
