About Deanna:

Currently I am singing with three bands, the largest is a 20 piece here in San Diego.. I have had years of voice training and in particular how not to use your voice. Would be suitable for beginner/introduction to voice up to intermediate. Not opera, just regular voice for entertainment and the personal achievement of singing well.
Piano tutoring would be suitable for beginner and introduction to chord playing, accompanying for vocals. Years of lessons, but tend toward teaching a more basic level rather than a flamboyant styling.

More On Deanna's Subjects:

  • Bible studies

12 years of parochial school, bible studies and a continuing christian faith help me put to use the daily living aspects of "spirituality". This can be useful for mainly youngsters who may need a little help balancing daily peer pressures. Bible parables explained and interactive communication help future progress of daily living by harkening back to the parable which might have relativity to the child's circumstance.

  • guitar

Playing the guitar for the past 30 years helps to qualify me for certain aspects of guitar training. I feel I would be best suited for younger children who want to learn the basics of chord guitar,,, and maybe want to sing along. Proficient at many different strum styles, which is where your rhythms come from. Also includes tuning guitars. You can't make music without a guitar that is in tune.

  • piano

Beginner piano, including theory, scales, chords, reading music. All presented in a way to be playing as soon as possible so as to not lose interest. Children's songs are a good way to start and there is no need for a full sized piano, although that's great if you have one. But we can start on a lesser priced keyboard.

  • voice (music)

Have had many years of voice lessons and am currently singing with three bands in the San Diego area. Also, continued vocal entertainment in many retirement living residences. Breathing, posture, voice control and presentation are where we will start. Just like an athlete,,, You cannot run the mile until you strengthen your skills. You cannot deliver a song properly until you learn the skills. Prefer beginner students.
