Hi! My name is Laurie and I am a recent graduate of California Lutheran University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Business Administration - Marketing Emphasis and a minor in music. I am a member of my university's Scholastic Honor Society and Business Honor Society. I would love to help with any business classes and I am very comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. I also have a passion for music and am available to tutor students in any general music or music theory. I have been taking piano lessons for the past and would like to give beginning level piano lessons. Voice was my main instrument and I have taken 4 years of classical, college-level voice lessons. I was a part of my university choir for 4 years and my university a capella quartet. I have had 2 semesters of vocal pedagogy and from these courses, I gained a thorough understanding of vocal anatomy and physiology. I also shadowed and student taught voice lessons for my last semester at school. I am available to give beginning and intermediate voice lessons. I promise to introduce a varied repertoire to students and make classical music exciting. My aim with each subject I tutor is to make the process fun for each student and to increase student comprehension with each lessons.   I have completed a BS degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. I had a 4.0 GPA for my major. I am also a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society. I have complete courses in all the essential areas of business including: Finite Mathematics, Marketing, Business Law, Micro and Macro Econ, Organizational Behavior, Finance, Communications for Managers, Info Tech, Principles of Account, Managerial Accounting, Statistics and Strategy.   I have been a musician since I was in early middle school when I took up the violin. I played the violin for 9 years and played in my high school orchestra, chamber ensemble and fiddle club. I sang in my high school choir for 2 years. Additionally, I took 2 years of voice and piano lessons. In college I completed 4 year of classical voice lessons and 3 years of classical piano. I was involved in my university choir, percussion ensemble and my university's a capella quartet. I complete a music minor while at college and took classes in Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Ear Training, Keyboard Skills, Conduction and multiple courses in Vocal Pedagogy.

  I have completed 2 years of basic piano lessons in high school. During college I took 6 semesters of classical piano lessons. I have also completed a music minor for which I had to pass a piano proficiency exam, keyboard skills course and 2 music theory courses.

  In high school I completed two years of voice lessons and sang in my high school's choir. I also competed on the state level in solo and ensemble vocal pieces. In college I completed 4 years of classical voice lessons. I also sang in my university's choir and a capella quartet. I completed a music minor in which I took 2 vocal pedagogy courses and gained a thorough understanding of vocal physiology and anatomy. In my last vocal pedagogy course, I shadowed my voice professor in her lessons and student taught some lessons.
