My primary interests are music, culture and science. I started playing the piano at the age of seven and had shifted my musical focus to the clarinet which I've been playing for over ten years. After junior high school, I transferred out of my school district and traveled 3 hours by bus daily to attend Arcadia High which is well known for its outstanding music program. That's how passionate I was about music! During those years, I mentored over 30 students, performed with the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra, became the clarinet section leader of over 50 clarinetists, and studied at the Colburn School of Performing Arts with the world renowned master instructor Yehuda Gilad. In the last two years as an undergraduate at University of Southern California, I took private clarinet lessons with a doctorate student.
Aside from music, I am certified to teach English as a foreign language and have utilized my training in Ecuador for a brief period of time.
