As a current graduate student of American Studies at UMass Boston and a graduate of the University of Portland with a B.A. in English, I have the necessary background and experience to play a vital role in your academic success.
I have experience tutoring high school students in Advanced Placement English courses and have also tutored students in preparation for state standardized tests. As an undergraduate I completed four semesters worth of Education courses, giving me a comprehensive background in teaching methods and pedagogical approaches. I enjoy helping students of all ages and backgrounds reach their academic potential.
My experience with Advanced Placement testing situates me in a prime position to assist students preparing for AP tests in English Composition, English Literature, and United States History. However, I also tutor students who need additional help in their non-Advanced Placement classes. My background as an English major has given me the necessary skills to be helpful with writing, grammar, and proofreading.
