I am a professional photographer who is an artist first. I retired from the world of dance and showbusiness and went on to search and find the present love and creative outlet of photography.

I am a graduate of The Juilliard School in NYC having earned a BFA degree in Dance. I am also a graduate of Hallmark Institute of Photography where I graduated in the top 10% of my class. There is no area of photography I am not totally confident in though I specialize in portraiture of all kinds. I can teach the art and technical aspects of photography and lighting to anyone who is sincerely interested. Simply put, photography is my passion and it is a joy to share my knowledge and experience.

I am an artist first possessing the knowledge of the techniques necessary to compose my preconceived vision of a specific image within the view finder of my camera before releasing the shutter. I always know what my image will look like before seeing it in print. It should mirror what I envisioned in my mind beforehand. If it doesn't then I've missed something in my technique. It's also important to know the digital workflow that will bring your images into full fruition by your own abilities. I enjoy having the know how to produce my images from beginning to end, having complete control over the total creative process. Once a photographer has the ability to do this he or she is well on their way to enjoying total creative freedom. Finally, the photographer should know how to archive, preserve and back up his work. The organization of your image files is crucial. We should be able to put our hands on our files at will no matter how old they are. Photography illustrates and documents life as we see and live it. The images we capture are cherishing.
