My commitment to teaching manifested in college summer programs (SMASH, Summerbridge and MEP) for which I developed chemistry lessons for middle school and college students from undeserved communities. Three graduate student instructor positions teaching first-year and upper level undergraduate chemistry students let me write exams, run review sessions, teach a chemistry laboratory course and manage around 40 student instructors. I also volunteered as a tutor during college and graduate school. I have also designed chemistry lessons as a part of the Chemistry Literacy Project, which I founded.
I taught drumming while in Summerbridge and in graduate school. My trio has released 3 CD's. I've been recorded with professional rock, jazz and eclectic projects and toured nationally.
