Whatever interest one may have, anything one wants to achieve, one must pursue with passion. Any field of study, for me, is a pursuit of passion. Most goals, especially the important ones entail several steps to attain. Some of the steps are initially not exactly what we hope for ourselves to go through but are necessary just the same. So the important thing is not to lose sight of the ultimate goal, to find a way to continuously motivate ourselves in the process.
Let me be your partner in that process. Sometimes, all you need is a little light on things to find them attainable, or even easy. I spent all my life studying to eventually be a doctor. I graduated consistently with honors since I started going to school. I was fortunate to finish elementary and high school from a top private, exclusive for girls school where we were taught and required to speak English at all times. I got a degree in Biology from the top university in the Philippines and I was even awarded cum laude as I finished Medicine. It was not a ride in the bus, but somehow, the years just flew by, and I am now actually a newly-grad doctor.
My love for tutoring is rooted way back in elementary. I lightly remember, being a student council officer, I was a substitute teacher every Teacher's day when teachers had to take the day off. It was always something I looked forward to. In high school and college, I taught Religion classes to kids in our parish every sunday, and I taught English grammar, Science and Math to indigent HS scholars of our parish.
As much as I loved tutoring, it seemed to love me too. Most of my students actually enjoyed their study sessions with me. They hence found themselves spending more time studying than they used to. It was so fulfilling to make a difference in people's lives. By the little time I gave them, they were able to give themselves a chance to understand the subjects they were having difficulty with. They were able to maintain their scholarship, and continued their education. Nothing is impossible with a little inspiration and guidance.
