I am a retiree, still active, with decades of public service, linguistic skills and experience. My specific areas of qualification are: French (translation, interpretation,tutoring, drafting, proofreading), public administration (financial management and performance audit)and financial marketing(life and health insurance, investments and securities). I have master's degrees in law (conc. in international business), public administration (conc. in economics and finance)and a bachelor's degree in law and economics. I have professional certificates in fiancial marketing (health and life insurance, securities and other investment vehicles (NASDA Series 6 and 63). Having been raised and studied (partly) in a bilingual (English/French) country, I have proficiency in the two languages. I taught French in high school for one year and worked in both languages in the public service for 20+ years. I have performed hundreds of translation and interpretation tasks for individuals, corporations, lawyers,immigration offices as well as other government agencies over the last three decades. I have helped tutor students, including my children who have already graduated from college. They are presently working or pursuing graduate degree programs. One of them is Dr. X, who is already specializing. I enjoy studying and helping others learn. Students who need help to consolidate or advance their theoretical knowledge to enable them cope with their course exercises, term papers and work on their thesis will be glad they found me. Those preparing for high school diploma or college degree exams are among those likely to benefit.The same applies to those studying for professional exam certifications for financial jobs, especially regarding insurance and banking. The latter are in high demand by recruiters of financial institutions (commercial, mortgage, investment bankers, etc) at this time of a worldwide financial crisis. Adults who want to enhance their knowledge of business economics and finance for their enterprise or investments or acquire a basic knowledge of French for international tourism and/or business, will get value for their money.
