I have over ten years experience in education teaching science to all levels of secondary students from the 7th to 12th grade science. The curriculum I have taught includes Life Science, Earth Science, Botany, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry and Science for non-Science majors. I have also taught botanical laboratory science as a laboratory instructor while in college. I have taught in both public (Little Rock, Arkansas and Southlake, Texas) and private schools (New Orleans, Louisiana). I hold current teaching certificates to teach all secondary science subjects in three states, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. While in Southlake ISD, I taught 7th and 8th grade science and tutored a home-bound student for several years. I taught high school Biology, Chemistry and Physical Science for 5 years while living in New Orleans, LA.
I have an undergraduate degree in Education with Biology/Chemistry as my fields of specialty. I also completed a Masters in Public Health in 2005 from Tulane University.
I currently work in the petrochemical industry but I miss the interaction with students. So, I would like to use my teaching experience as well as my industrial/project management experience and work with students wanting to improve their study skills, time management and as well as their understanding of science.
