Hey there!

My name is Shalane and I am college student looking to find a part-time tutoring gig to both help out those interested in learning and to pay for my college expenses.

In high school I took all AP and Honors courses and graduated with honors. I tutored students while in high school for both general classes and students with special needs.

My most-noted talent in tutoring is ways to memorize terms, formulas and methods. I always come up with a fun and memorable way to recall information when you need it. (It was to the point where my teachers would ask me to share my ideas with my class!)

  I haven't always been the most organized student. I didn't ever want to do poorly and I didn't even just not care; I just never really knew how to do really well without a huge amount of effort and memorization. By the end of high school I figured it out and managed to raise my GPA and graduated with honors. I use studying techniques that make learning material easy and faster by connecting it to memorable words, phrases or concepts. It isn't about knowing everything, but retaining the important things you learn that make studying the key to doing well. I am happy to share the things I have learned and help you to implement changes to keep you organized and learn the type of studying that will help you do well and excel.

  When it comes to web design, I have probably tried it. I started my own website at the age of twelve and have since then formed a business for hosting websites and have also done web designs for small businesses. I am skilled from basic HTML formatting to advanced PHP and CSS. I have expereince in teaching this subject and have helped many make their first website or learned new tricks to improve their sites. On the graphic end, I have worked with several graphic programs and have even created and distributed graphic tools such as brushes, textures, gradients and scripts for photoshop and paint shop pro.
