I am a recent Princeton Graduate who has been tutoring for six years. I love to work with - and motivate - students, hopefully making them as interested in their subject as I am!
At Princeton I received three prizes for my academic work. One for the best essay in the humanities, one research grant and one for the best senior thesis dealing with literary composition. I also volunteered at the childrens' library, formed part of a childrens' theatre troupe and worked as President of the Princeton Shakespeare Company (I'm Shakesepare-crazy!).
I have worked with students on an individual basis from ages 14 to 18. I've also held several teaching and residential life positions working with groups of students as young as 9.
I try to tailor my approach to each individual student as much as possible, but I like to encourage students to work independently as possible. I also like to pay attention to the way my students are studying, helping them to use their time as efficiently as possible. I guess I have an odd fascination with study-skills, something that my high school was known for!
I love to work with young people and in the future, I aspire to be the Artistic Director of either a childrens' theatre or a theatre with a large educational outreach program.
I hope that tells you all you need to know, but do drop me an email if you have any more questions!
I look forward to meeting you,
Georgina
