Tutor Tara can help you succeed in your studies!I graduated from the Plymouth-Canton school district with honors, and received the only scholarship for my academic achievements for college. I continued my education first at the community college level, I then went on to Eastern Michigan University where I graduated Cum Laude. After graduation I helped my friends in their English papers, reading assignments, and work in literature. I have held a job as a reader for English standardized tests, so I have a keen eye for what is needed and have kept up my skills that way. During my employment there I have also served as a team leader, which required of me to be a teacher of materials for adults. My style of teaching is to build confidence in the student, to show them ways to study the material that ensures they understand, and to allow a free exchange of questions and answers that allows a student to avoid rote memorization, instead learning to become one with the material. I specialize in English, with a strong focus on Poetry and Literature, the key with these subjects in to become one with the text by reading it aloud, I find it creates a more memorable connection with the reader and helps the student get the "feel" of the work better. I also am well adapt at teaching the process of writing the dreaded research paper, and have quite a good method that ensures success from start to finish. If you need help with Chaucer, am your tutor, for I had a whole course on him alone and The Caterbury Tales, I can help you understand that strange speak of so long ago. I also specialize in the poerty of T.S. Eliot, and can work through him with you. I had a course on just him alone, and was so good that I was nominated for and particpated in Eastern Michigan's Undergraduate Symposium for my new ideas of "The Waste Land." Whatever you need I can help you! I am a patient, caring tutor who will strive to help you succeed in your studies.
