All children are unique. I stay familiar with past and current educational/developmental psychology movements and use all resources available on a case-by-case basis. Three ideas underlie all of my teaching :
1. Your child can succeed. No one will ever convince me otherwise.
2. Your child must feel safe, both physically (of course) and emotionally, safe to communicate, safe to make mistakes.
3. Engagement is the best metric as to future success. The more constructive energy your child is able and willing to invest in a subject, the better.
I am an experienced LAUSD teacher. I have worked extensively with all grade levels and ages from pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. I work extremely hard for my students whether it is a group or an individual. I do this because I love to teach and I am quite good at it.
Results are what you pay for, and results are what you get. What you also get is a happier and calmer child who is more enthusiastic about learning.
