I am a fifth year Ph.D. student at Columbia and I have experience tutoring at all levels from middle schoolers to graduate students. I had a knack for math and physics in high school, scoring 800s on the respective SAT2s. I received a B.S. in biochemistry and am currently doing research in computational biology, but my main professional goal is to be a great teacher. This summer I designed and taught a physics course for premeds and enjoyed every minute of it.
Personally, I think that most students who are intimidated by math and science were scarred by bad experiences with lousy teachers (I've been there!) and that a caring tutor and mentor can help you regain the confidence you need to succeed. I look forward to helping you tackle those demons and reach your academic goals.
