My name is Yi (Joey) Zhou and I am a native Chinese speaker holding U.S. permanent residency. I studied in Australia for my bachelor's and master's degrees and my research focused on Chinese culture/popular culture and its audience. I have worked as a language and culture teacher for American and Australian institutions for a couple of years.
I taught Chinese language classes for Australian Federal Policy, and later for the American students who studied at China center, Long Island University located in Hangzhou. I also co-taught the subject "China in literature and films" (I was responsible for the film part).
In addition, I worked as a TA for the subject "Chinese Modern History" for CIEE (the study abroad program for American bachelor students in Shanghai).
