I am a Purdue University English education graduate, who graduated with distinction. I am also have a TEFL certificate. Having published several poems, I am now working with a literary agent to publish my first novel.
Many of my students are foreigners, who are trying to learn English as a second language. My students' ages range from 6 years old to 35 years old. I also tutor a few students in writing fiction, essays, and poems.
Creative writing can be taught to anyone willing to learn. Through creative writing, students improve their writing skills and are more likely to conquer writing assignments. I call creative writing the bridge to other types of writing. It is fun. And, students should learn that writing is fun. They'll approach writing in all its forms with a great attitude.
