I have a true passion for the Spanish language and culture. I have been taking Spanish since Middle School and jsut recently received a Master's degree in Spanish from Ohio University. While obtaining my Master's degree, I taught beginning level Spanish classes to college students for two years and on the side, tutored an individual who greatly improved his Spanish grade.

I was also fortunate enough to travel to South America twice during my college career and while in Ecuador, I received certification to be able to teach English as a Foreign/Second language.

I truly enjoy spending time with students and helping them not only understand the Spanish language better but also develop a desire to continue learning a foreign language. It is truly a rewarding feeling to be able to understand and speak a different language.

  During the summer of 2007, I traveled abroad to Cuenca, Ecuador to participate in an intensive, four week TEFL/ESL program. This program entailed taking classes in the morning, lesson planning during the afternoons and teaching local, Spanish-speaking children and adults of all ages and backgrounds in the evenings. During each teacing session I was evaluated by my professors and received nothing but exceptional feedback and scores.
