I am a seasoned and experienced New York City Board of Education teacher. I am seeking tutoring positions to teach your child the methods behind becoming a successful student and the way to reach their educational goals. My philosophy has always been that every child has the potential and the right to learn and succeed. I would like to share my strategies with you and your child in order for them to succeed now and in the future. I would like the opportunity to meet with you and your child in order to create a custom plan for success in whatever their needs area is. I always take the time to get to know your child first, learning their areas of strengths, and then teaching to those strengths. Your child may be gifted in an area that can be used to empower them and that motivate them to learn. For example, if your child is visual then using images, pictures, video, and other visual stimulus would be an effective method of success. I believe that every child has a particular way of learning, and that it is up to the educator to find it and use it as a vehicle to success.
