Hi, I look forward to working with you and helping you master your subject. I have been teaching and tutoring students in math, English and science in levels k-12. While each student is different, I give him/her the basics, encourage their questions and let them know together they will succeed in mastering the information. My goal is to make learning fun. BTW, I graduated with a 3.89 from the City University of NY, BS in biochemistry; and then went to medical school (UCSF). After many years of practicing medicine and teaching health professionals I decided to slow down, work part time and help students in the beginning of their educational careers.

  Hi, over the years I have taught students in grades k-6 in all ranges of subjects. I also home schooled my daughter when she was in kindergarten to third grade. The head start I gave her has contributed to her success today, she is now a sophomore in high school. During this time I took courses to learn how to be a better teacher and to understand the different learning styles. My experience included working with students from different cultural and language backgrounds. Some of the students I have tutored have gone on to excel in their current schools. While all of the students I tutored in the past are now in college or beyond, the techniques I used still work today. It is so important to establish a foundation and the k-6 years of a student's life are critical to their future success. My style is one of encouragement. While I do make learning fun I also realize some students may need a more structured learning environment. I gear my work towards your student's learning style. I would love to speak to you and your student and see how I can help him/her succeed.

  Hi, I have over twenty years of sewing experience. I started when I was twelve making my own clothes because I could not find clothes to fit me. In later years I would make clothes for my sisters. And now I make clothes for my daughter. My expertise ranges from girls, teens and women clothing. I can work with a wide range of fabrics. I find sewing to be relaxing, especially after a stressful day. I would love to help you with your project. Once you have finished the project you will have a great sense of accomplishment.
