I recently graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Music and Entertainment Business and Production. I plan on attending graduate school very soon.
My background is obviously in music and the business surrounding the industry, however, I have many other skills worthy of tutoring. I have studied and have been extremely proficient in every subject offered in school-from elementary and on.
Beginning in 2nd grade, I was always told the highest IQ among the rest of the students in my grade until I hit high school. Personally, I've never felt that IQ was a real test of one's true learning ability. Some children just are not as interested in learning as others and they need a little extra help. Maybe they just need someone to show them that learning is not 'uncool.'
I also have background in coaching kids' basketball of all ages, so I think I am pretty good at relating to kids.

  I've played basketball my entire life. I played for numerous competitive teams growing up. I started at shooting guard/small foward for 2 AAU Boys' National Championship teams, the Bellevue War Eagles (Notable current University of Memphis Tigers players were on this team as well). We won the titles in 1997 and 1998. Also, while playing with this team I won All-State and All-Tri-State team honors each 4 times. I set the Shelby County Schools Middle School Play-off scoring record in 1998 with 41 pts. in a single game. I made my varsity team my freshman year of high school. I was forced to give up basketball in high school for unexpected health reasons but my love for the game still remains. I have coached young kids (ages 7-11) and have been repeatedly invited and asked back to teach the 'art' of shooting at the Coach Vaughan's Basketball Camp in Memphis and helped out at the Penny Hardaway camps.

  I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Music and Entertainment Business and Production from the University of Memphis' prestigious Fogelman Business College. I completed over 50 hours of upper-division business courses throughout my stay at the U of M.

  I have played drums for over 6 years. I was mostly self-taught until I hit my plateau, as many self-taught drummers often do. I have taken lessons from the best.
