I have a college background in Photography and Art History to satisfy my creative side. I double-majored in both of these areas to obtain my B.A. Along the way, I have also honed my numerical and analytical skills.
I work as a commercial real estate consultant to small business owners. I work with both landlords and tenants in analyzing real estate deals and negotiating terms. Some of my time is spent researching and performing cash-flow analysis and business projections.
I began studying French in middle school. While I do not speak it on a regular basis, my reading and grammar skills are still good. I studied through my first year of college. Speaking French with you would do us both some good!
I am fascinated by the way that geography influences the economy in various parts of the world - perhaps there should be a class in school called "Geo-Political Affairs".
While I have not tutored before, I believe that my life experience and involvement in various industries, businesses, and college studies give me the ability to tutor in a variety of subjects. I tend to ask questions and endeavor to draw people out. I would use these techniques with my students in order to better gauge their needs and figure out if they are truly absorbing and understanding the material being covered.
I live in a vintage building in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago where I paint and photograph. I go running through Lincoln Park and I also attend yoga classes - so good for the soul.
