Salve! My name is Giulia and I am a native Italian speaker. I was born and grew up in Italy; more precisely in Grotteria, Reggio Calabria. There I spent the first 19 years of my life. In 1988 I married my husband Pete and moved to the USA to start a new life together with him. We now have two daughters and I have been living here in the USA for a total of 20 years.I love working with children of different ages and I enjoy teaching them. I have experience teaching Italian in Early Childhood settings as well as tutoring College students. I attended RVCC where I earned a CDA. (Child Development Associate) I recently graduated with an Associate Degree in Education with a 3.8 GPA. I am currently working toward my Masters in Foreign Education and ESL at Rutgers University and I am majoring in Italian. I am fluent in both Italian and English spoken and written.I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to grow up and experience life in such wonderful place like Italy. Growing up there gave me the opportunity to learn the local dialect and the proper Italian. Attending school in Italy enabled me to learn not only the language but also to learn about the history and culture, which I am still very passionate about and value very much. Sharing my knowledge about Italy and my language abilities is very fulfilling and rewarding to me. I believe that knowing a second language can open many new frontiers for anyone. I would be very happy to help anyone who is interested in learning Italian. I look forward to helping you or your child to learn this wonderful language! A presto!
