My name is Vanessa, and I am a Master's of Accountancy student at the George Washington University. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and began my college education in 2002 at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. I will graduate from GW in May of 2009, at which time I plan to have taken and passed the CPA Exam.
I recently finished a summer internship with the tax department at Deloitte in McLean, Virginia. I was offered a full-time position beginning Fall of 2009, which I eagerly accepted! I am a very quick learner, and as such I have a great deal of life experience aiding fellow students in a variety of courses. I am a numbers person at heart and as such Math is one of my strongest subjects. However, with a degree in Economics and Psychology, my education is in no means limited.
I come from a large and diverse multi-cultural family; this has shaped me into someone who gets along well with all types of people. I am also very patient and feel that while I have a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to getting tasks (such as homework and studying) accomplished, I also know that I can make tutoring an enjoyable activity.
I live in Arlington near the Rosslyn metro stop. While I am a full time student, I have class in the evenings four days a week. My schedule is very flexible and I am willing to travel. I am available all day and evening on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well as mornings and afternoons on Monday-Thursday.
