Hi! I'm Alex, and for the entirety of my life, English has been my love. Ever since reading my first book at age 3, I've adored reading-- and I feel that I owe my verbal proficiency to my book habit. Since I was very young, I have had a large vocabulary and been enrolled in honors literature and writing programs. When I entered college, I was one of the few freshmen who knew exactly what their major was going to be: English Lit and Creative Writing, of course! My lifelong education hasn't budged, and in addition to being a writer for the Denver Post, I am a stickler for grammar and good writing style. My teaching style is heavy on the drills and vocab tests, using full sentences to convey meaning. Beyond the written word, I'm a pretty creative girl in other regards, too. Last year, I founded a creative society that met once a month over a themed arts and crafts get-together. I'm also a music lover and sometime musician, when I have a few solid hours to play my drums. All in all, I would love to use my talents to teach someone to love English as much as I do.
