My name is Mr. Henley. The focus of my educational background has always been Math. During high school, I represented my school in several Mathematics competitions often placing or even winning the event. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University. Also, I hold a Masters degree in Information Technology. At Essex Community College in Baltimore, Maryland I taught Basic Math, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Finite Math. Moreover, at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland, I tutored Algebra I & II, PreCalculus, Calculus, Geometry and Trigonometry at the Career Center. In addition, I have tutored Mathematics and Physics within my community and church. My teaching style includes evaluating the student to access his or her performance and needs. Next, we will review essential methods and procedures usefulness. Then, I will introduce verbal as well as visual examples to show how to solve the problem. I will then give the student an opportunity to give her or his interpretation of what was presented using textbook problems
