I am twenty-four years old, but don’t let my youth lead you to believe that I’m not a qualified tutor. I have a bachelors degree in history and I’m a recent graduate of Western Washington University’s elementary education program. This program has been rated as one of the best in the state and equipped me well with the skills that I need to be an effective teacher. My youth and recent training are to mine and your advantage. I’m update on all of the recent educational theories, pedagogy, and techniques. Additionally I have received training with several computer programs including Word, Power Point, and the internet. I have a plethora of experience working with youth of all ages, from summer camps and youth groups, to formal in-classroom teaching. In my opinion nothing is more important than education. Education is the foundation of our society and the key to success in any arena you might want to pursue in your future. It is my belief that all people deserve equal opportunities to receive education and recently returned from a four month stint in Musoma Tanzania teaching orphans and at risk youth with Faraja Orphans Rescue Ministry. I’m a hard worker and will do my best to give you the skills necessary for you to succeed in any field of your choosing. At the same time I’m fairly easy-going, energetic and fun to work with. I connect easily with most youth and I am certain that you would feel comfortable working with me. I’m very good at explaining things and simplifying them so that they are easy to understand. Whenever possible I try to connect learning to real life to make it more meaningful. I hope that you will consider partnering with me to ensure that you receive a quality education.
