Hello Parents and Students! My name is Angela, and I have been privately tutoring students of all ages in mathematics and science for over 10 years. I attended Oklahoma State University in Civil and Environmental Engineering for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. During my undergrad, I was taking courses to receive a bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics where I worked with elementary students with individualized education plans and programs and co-taught junior high level mathematics. I was also a mathematics assistant for the federally program of Upward Bound at Oklahoma State University. This program mentored and tutored at-risk high school students from around the state. At the college level, I tutored students for a variety of courses including chemistry, physics, calculus, algebra, trig, linear algebra, engineering sciences, civil/environmental engineering courses, and Spanish. During this time, I worked for the college as a teacher's assistant in several engineering courses. In regards to my piano experience, I have played the piano for 18 years and have taught privately for 6 years, children and adults. So where am I now? Not in Oklahoma touching students and adult lives but now in Colorado hoping to do the same. I moved to Denver in June 2007 to work as an environmental engineer for a consulting firm. I love my job, I love the mountains, and I love tutoring. I have my job and the mountains and am now in search of my other passion in tutoring and teaching.Hope to hear from you!
