I am a 28 year old doctoral student from Cherokee, North Carolina currently living in Montgomery, Alabama, for the duration of my doctoral studies. I consider myself to be a laid-back easygoing individual who loves to make people laugh, have a good stress-free time, and while I enjoy fun times with friends I am just as serious about studying and focusing on educational obligations. I have two Bachelors degrees from Faulkner University - Journalism and Criminal Justice, a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from Faulkner, and am currently working on my Doctor of Business Administration in Criminal Justice through Northcentral University, an online institution. I love to write and have been writing ever since I was five years old. Not to toot my own horn but I have six books published so far and two more in production. My ability to write and utilize proper grammatical skills and firm content has brought me further in my education than I imagined possible. While at Faulkner I was editor of the student newspaper and a tutor for five years for the student body, providing assistance in English Composition classes and proofreading papers. When I proofread a paper it comes to me clean but once I am done with it the paper is bleeding with red ink, full of comments and corrections that are directed at enhancing the student's ability to write and establish a legitimate expression or point. I point out areas that need work as well as showing the student his or her strong and positive points. I also help students understand the assignment given to them and assist with outlines. I still provide tutoring assistance when requested out of sheer desire and nothing more. I believe in building up a student's ability to face challenges and to overcome doubt and obstacles. The ability to write is a crucial skill in the workforce today and mastering the ability to write fluently and concisely will guide the up and coming generation far in both their careers and their futures.
