Hello,
My name is Kim and I am currently a 31 year old medical student. I have an undergraduate degree (B.Sc.)in chemical engineering with a bioengineering option. During my undergraduate course, I was hired by Cornell as a Teaching Facilitator to teach a supplemental course in Linear Algebra. I enjoyed this experience immensely and from the feedback I received at the end of the course, my students enjoyed my teaching just as much, and ALL went on to pass/or excel in their exams. Also, during my undergrad years, I participated in multiple research opportunities (e.g. IBM, Imperial College in London, and postgraduate research for Cornell).
After graduating, I worked for a biotech company in San Francisco, and as a lab manager for the Microbiology and Molecular Genetics department at the University of New Mexico. For the last few years, I have been studying medicine at University College Dublin and am planned to graduate in December 2008 and receive my M.D.
I love teaching and pride myself in my tenacity, patience, and creativity. No matter how difficult a subject appears, there's always a way to understand! It just takes finding that special teacher who can show you how!
Best Wishes.
