I have Ph. D. in Geology and have been teaching at a small liberal arts university for the past 17 years and a community college for the past 5 years. As an instructor, I have covered topics including geology, chemistry, and physics with some biology thrown in for good measure in my oceanography class. Strong quantitative skills are emphasized in my courses, including math up through calculus. As a professor at a small university, I have lots of experience with small classes and individual instruction, including supervising individual research projects. I have also worked with a diverse student population and developed several ways of approaching students. I am dedicated to science and math instruction and am confident that we can work together to find a way to understand the material that you want and need to learn.
