About Michael:

"I believe that learning should be a fun and inspiring experience. Learning in a safe and relaxed environment is the essential foundation to success at anything. My job is to not only provide accurate information, but to deliver it in a way that encourages the student to continue working on their own. I strive to make the process interesting, fun and to challenge the student to achieve their goals."

Coming from a musical family, Michael Shobe began experimenting with music as soon as he could grasp a drumstick. Choosing the trumpet when he was eight, he quickly found that he had a passion for jazz. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area and spending summers with his Grandparents in Brazil exposed the young musician to many different styles of music.

He attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music majoring in Music Performance and Music Business & Management. Maintaining an active performing and teaching schedule throughout college, Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002. He then relocated to New York City and has been active in the music, teaching, entertainment and broadcasting industries ever since.
