Visual art has always been my primary outlet for imagination and creative expression, and I believe it can be greatly enjoyable for everyone. I graduated with a BFA from Maryville University with an emphasis in painting and printmaking, minor ceramics. I have extensive experience with drawing from the figure, landscapes, and still life using charcoal, graphite, oil pastel, chalk pastel, colored pencils, ink, and more. I believe drawing is essential for a strong foundation in any fine art, as well as being a beautiful art form on its own. I enjoy working with children and adults of all ages.

  Drawing is one of the most important skills in creating visual art. It is the foundation of articulating imagination into a tangible work. As a graduate of Maryville University with a BFA in fine arts, I have a great deal of experience in drawing, painting, printmaking, and ceramics. I enjoy working with many mediums, including graphite, charcoal, conte a paris, chalk pastel, oil pastel, ink, and colored pencils, on projects of figure drawing, landscape, still life, and conceptual design. Visual art is a forum of expression for everyone, and I am comfortable in working to pass on this knowledge to students of all proficiency levels. I have experience in working with young children creating art in child care situations, as well as helping more advanced peers in their artistic development. I will tailor sessions to meet your needs as a student, and most importantly, have some fun!
