About Paul:

I love to teach and help others, therefore I earned a PhD in Educational Psychology. Also have a Master's Degree in Statistics and Bachelor's in Business Administration. My goal is for you to learn. We will attack a subject from multiple angles until you are satisfied that you know the subject. I have taught small classes of less than 10 and large classes of over 100 in subjects of Business, Psychology, Statistics, and more. I taught tennis for 8 years. Outside of education my experience includes 8 years as a Corporate Controller and 10 years as a business owner. With 4 grown children I have learned to see subjects from many angles and opportunities. Paradigm Publishing is printing and distributing my second book coming out in 2009, PSST (Postsecondary School Success Training).

More On Paul's Subjects:

  • business

With a degree in Business Administration, 20 years as a business owner or executive, and 5 years as a Business college professor, I know both the theory and practicality of most business models and concepts.

  • study skills

My PhD is in Educational Psychology. Much of my focus within the PhD was on Human Learning. Learning behavior, learning theories, motivation, and human cognition, were some of college upper level courses I studied. Oklahoma State University has a series of courses designed to teach instructors to be better instructors. Included in the series were courses on good study habits, note taking, and other college success skills. I completed these courses while working on my PhD. Since then I developed a workshop for college success that has been utilized in three different post-secondary schools and now I have two books scheduled to be published in 2009 on the topic of succeeding in college (study skills, note taking, etc.)

  • tennis

I learned a lot about tennis during the ten years I traveled around the country playing mostly in the Missouri Valley Circuit. But I learned the most as I began teaching private lessons. I took my teaching serious and researched the fundamentals of tennis, compiling detailed lessons for all the tennis basics. My experience teaching includes 8 years of teaching private and group lessons at Grapevine Country Club in Texas, The University of Texas at Arlington, and others. I am also the founder and former Director of the Ash Grove Tennis Association in Missouri.
